About Us

We are so excited that you are checking out our website and blog. We hope that you enjoy following our family and our journey as we continue into our fourth year on the mission field. In July of 2017 our little family of four (now a family of five with our dog Lucy) was deployed to Medellín, Colombia. We have moved a few times within Colombia but, for the past two years, have been settled in a town an hour outside of Medellín called Rionegro. We are so very excited to reconnect with friends from the past and build relationships with new people as we connect through our blog and other forms of social media.

Here is a little about us!

Rev. Patrick Wilkerson is an ordained minister in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Patrick has been working in the ministry for 15 years. Over his years in the ministry his love and passion grew in three main areas; being a pastor, youth and young adult ministry, and missions.

Jessica Wilkerson is a social worker. After completing her Masters Degree she has worked in several areas of social work. She has worked in a behavioral school, worked as a crisis counselor, worked as a transitional living counselor, and as a therapist.

Patrick and Jessica have a daughter that is almost 6 years old and that is full of energy, her name is Bella Grace. She keeps them on their toes and full of laughs. They also have a 4 year old daughter named Jacqueline. She has a smile that brightens the room and is constantly on the move with her goofy personality. They know that their children will be blessed in many ways from living in multiple cultures and learning two languages.

One of their main task is to help with the leadership in the Emaús Presbytery, which was formed in February of 2017. They work within the Presbytery in many ways such as; being a pastor at a New Church Development (NCD), mentoring seminary students, helping establish youth programs in the churches, training youth leaders, hosting mission teams that visit Colombia, helping with existing and new social action programs, and helping with the expansion of the Presbytery and formation of new churches.

This is such an exciting time for our Family. I hope you join us in our journey into the mission field!
